I'm not trying to brag or anything, I just think "experts" sometimes lack common sense.
For instance when Clinton gave North Korea Nuclear Power Plants, I thought "that will come back to haunt us". Of course they were only going to get the nukes if they promised to use them for humanitarian purposes only. Now I'm no foreign relations expert, but I thought "why are we trusting North Korea, aren't we basically still at war with them?".
Or like when the Twins, after years of deliberation, are finally going to build an outdoor stadium. Again, I'm not an expert on stadiums but, we have snow storms way into April or even May sometimes, and the snow has come in October many times. I remember when we played the 2 world series in the Metro Dome and how thankful we were to have a roof over our heads. Finally last week mother nature kicked in a little common sense when the Twins were playing inside when it was 18ยบ outside, and once again people started thinking domes.
Aren't the experts supposed to think of this stuff? Why are they experts?
Yesterday, I heard a story on MPR about scientists making the world's largest particle accelerator. A 16 mile underground circular tube that is built on the same scale as the great pyramid. The "experts" aren't really sure whats going to happen when they fire this bad boy up. One of the things they're looking for, is maybe it would create a "black hole" and then we'll know more a bout how black holes are created. Now I'm no expert but, maybe all those black holes we see in space were created by ancient advanced civilizations doing experiments with partical accelerators. Talk about getting absorbed in your work!
And of course when it comes to Global Warming I'm no expert, but isn't Carbon Dioxide needed for things to grow? And shouldn't we look into the sun's role in Global Warming?

I agree. All experts are wrong. So we should never go to the doctor. And if your computer breaks, don't take it to an expert repair person -- take it to a novice instead. Same for your car, don't let an expert work on it, they know nothing. And if you are flying in an airplane, don't trust an expert pilot -- get an old grandmother to fly it instead. The expert may just crash the plane. Expert pilots have crashed planes before, but how many times have you heard about old grandmothers crashing planes? I have two grandmas, and neither of them have ever crashed a plane.
