Because it’s Frickin’ Cold. Or, What To Tell Your Crazy Uncle When He Says: “Guess This Cold Means Global Warming Isn’t Happening.”
Here at GOOD, we make a special effort to never refer to the horrible things happening to our climate as “global warming.” This is because what we used to call “global warming” doesn’t just mean the globe is warming up, though those few naysayers out there (we’re looking at you, Matt Drudge) always get to crow to themselves when it is in fact colder than it’s supposed to be. But that’s the same thing. (Here is how cold it is now, but you really shouldn’t be thinking about wind chill, though that’s a different story.)
For the younger people out there, we used to have things called seasons. In the winter, it was cold and it snowed, and it was cold every day. In the summer, it was warm, and it was warm every day. We called these predictable weather patterns the “climate.” It was things like this that allowed farmers to predict when to plant their crops, and other old timey things like that. What is happening now, due to all the carbon in the atmosphere, is that weather patterns are becoming crazy and unpredictable. In the summer, this may manifest itself by excessive heat, but apparently in the winter this means that some days you will be able to wear a T-shirt in December in New England (this is disturbing in and of itself) and then just the next day, a massive ice storm will leave you and 200,000 of your neighbors without power. I’m no meteorologist—and the weather is always unpredictable, sure—but give me a break. Back in the old days, it was cold when it was supposed to be cold, and warm when it was supposed to be warm, and men were men, and so on. Also, please refer to the horrible Jake Gyllenhaal vehicle in which global warming causes most of the planet to be freezing cold and wolves to come into New York City and eat people until Dennis Quaid saves you. That was “global warming,” too.
So, ditch the “global warming.” Here’s the bottom line: Parts are warming up, parts are cooling down, but neither is doing what it’s supposed to do on any given day, and that is dangerous. We’re calling it climate change now, because the climate is out of control.
I find that very few people know anything about science. I ask them to make a guess about how much CO2 there is in the atmosphere. Their answer is usually something like 30 or 60%.
I them inform them that there is less than 0.4% CO2 in the atmosphere and that CO2 is an essential element for life on earth.
That information is a complete surprise to them.
right, and that everyone emits a 1/2 ton of CO2 every year just by breathing!

Average people wouldn't go for the model Karl Marx had in mind, so the criminals who are his followers came up with a new religion that would achieve the same goals. "No", you say? Let's just look.
End of the world prophecy? (Fear)
Special words and rituals? "Green", recycling.
Special people to guide us? Al Gore, "scientists", who know more than we do, but may actually have to live like they tell us to live.
Sacrifice? Tithe? Deriving one of pleasure? Er, Carbon Credits, container taxes, etc.
Requirement of accepting the Word on faith in the absence of real evidence or logic? Oh, don't get me started.
The desire of leaders to spread to world, ie., conquer the world and impose their beliefs on others?
Now, if any other religious leaders out there, other than the Muslims, because they are somehow exempt, held a conference, during which their leaders openly agreed to try and force the people of all countries to accept their beliefs, and to pay homage, and to subordinate their nationality to this particular faith, what do you think the world's media would say?
So, since the same thing is happening, and our "free Press" isn't saying anything, we can only conclude that its leaders are in bed with the leaders of this new religion?

I want to thank Samuel Pickwick for correcting my mistake in decimal points in the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere. (0.04% CO2 rather than 0.4% CO2)
Why does the public and our leaders believe such a big lie about the dangers of CO2 which is not a contaminant? That lie is costing the USA hundreds of billions of dollars.

Trying to replace REAL power stations with wind turbines & Photo Voltaic Cells, (P.V.C.), is lunacy.
Ever considered how much energy is generated by a P.V.C. array covered by snow or dust?
Wind just doesn't blow when it's too cold or hot!
Unreliable energy is deadly.
Develop 'renewable' energy by all means, just don't rely on it until the technology is mature.
